It’s not long to Midnight

“and you gotta feel the heat of the spotlight. Whatcha gotta do in the morning, Don’t think about it”

Damn right don’t think about, because its F*cking new years that’s why.

2012 is about 8 hours away. It’s time to reflect, and embark on new journey that awaits us. Or just get hammered, and try to reflect about the kick ass night you had before.

So when it’s a few minutes to midnight, this is the song to bring in the new year. Its called Midnight by Mac Graham. I play drums for him, and this song is always a blast to play. The video was shot in my new favorite city, N’awlins.  We were set to play there in 2010 for a music business conference, and decided to make a video, guerrilla style, shooting on Bourbon St.

You need to hear this! Chad Price

I have many talented friends, from singers to musicians, artist, actors etc. And im always happy to share their talents with you. First up on  You Need To Hear This is Chad Price. He hails from London Ontario, and he’s my cousin. He has recently completed his debut album, produced by the amazing Bill Bell (justin nozuka, Jason Mraz).

I Make Music Too

If you’ve read the About Me section, you should know that I’m a producer. To be honest, I like being a producer more than a drummer, but drumming is the majority of the work I get.  I’m not complaining my any means, but I couldn’t be happier being locked up in a studio all day making music.

Below is a song called How Can I Keep Him, by Lorraine Reid. The song was produced by my father Herb ‘Superchickin’ Clifton and myself. The lyrics were by Lorraine. This is by far one of my favorite songs off the album Lessons Learned, which was released in 2007 (I think). I wanted to play you this song first because it never really saw the light of day as much as I would like, nor did the album. The marketing and promotion were so bad (not by my doing) that it’s like the record never existed. I hate to see a great song go to waste or a great album. So expect to hear songs from Lorraine Reid’s Lessons Learned in the near future.

Written by Lorraine Reid / Producer(s) Da-Rell Clifton, Herb Clifton / Recorded and Mixed: Kevin Kjam James / Guitar Mike Ross / Mastered by George Seara

I Hit Drum, Drum go bang!

Expect to see a lot of these drum covers on my Super C Music blog. I’m not gonna lie to ya, the reason why I started my youtube channel, was because I thought I could perform Jam by Michael Jackson better than some other dude on youtube. But now it’s turned into a great way to promote my playing and any of my productions. I have 1544 subscribers, and I need a lot more, so if you find this go subscribe to my channel! Here’s a little incentive..
